The Old Court Hotel

The Old Court Hotel dates back to the early 1800s and takes its name from the Old Court house which was located opposite. The lawyers and their (sometimes nefarious) clients would meet to discuss proceedings in the inn before going to court.

This is celebrated by the Old Court’s sign which depicts a running lawyer clutching his papers.
